Account Access Post-Graduation
First off, congratulations from the Help Desk on graduating! We all wish you well in your future endeavors, whether it's returning for another degree or lending yourself to a new community.
While you are an active student with the Seminary you have access to a wide variety of services and programs, such as Office 365, Zoom, and Brightspace. Here is what happens with graduation.
Upon graduating, your primary role is changed from 'Student' to 'Recent Graduate' At that point, your account loses all permissions and access to the above-mentioned services including but not limited to Office 365 apps (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive and OneNote), Zoom, Brightspace, and print services through PaperCut. The Alumni Office will email all recent graduates and share a link to complete what is called Alumni Conversion, which will reactivate your Seminary email access and provide access to the Alumni databases through the library. Those are the only services that are provided to Alumni.
You can purchase a personal license for Office 365 and register it with a non-Seminary email, however, you will no longer have access to any files or data stored within your Seminary account. We recommend making a local backup of the data stored on your Office 365 account, such as OneDrive and OneNote.

You would also want to save any data that is stored on Brightspace, and can reach out to Brightspace@ptsem.edu for any questions related to that.
We recommend ensuring that you have a valid secondary email listed in your account recovery as your password will still expire every 180 days, and that email can be used to request a password reset link if needed.
You can also enable mail forwarding within Outlook if you use a different email more often, so as to not miss password reminders sent to your Seminary email.
If you have other access-related questions, please feel free to email us at Help.Desk@ptsem.edu and we will try our best to further assist.
