File Not Uploading in Brightspace

If you are having trouble uploading a file into Brightspace, it may be because the name is too long or has illegal characters.

Your file does not upload in Brightspace when:

The filename contains illegal characters. Rename your file and try uploading again if it contains the following characters:

\ / : * ? “ < > | ~ # % & ' { }

The file name is too long. We recommend that you keep the file name under 45 characters

Please try renaming the file before attempting again. If you continue to have trouble, email brightspace@ptsem.edu for support.
