Hardware Specifications and Locations
All computer lab workstations are an 21" Apple iMac with macOS and Windows 10 installed. Each operating system offers a variety of software titles for students to utilize. There is a selection menu which will allow you can choose which operating system to use based on your preference. Workstation Locations: The lab in Stuart Hall has 12 individual workstations and two high capacity printers. A high speed document scanner connected to Terminal 9. The Library has a total 15 workstations located on the Lower level, 2nd floor, 3rd floor and the PHD suite. Each floor offers a high capacity printer. There are also two large, high volume copied on the first floor situated next to the circulation desk. The workroom in 501 Loestcher has two high capacity printers.

Software Specifications
The PTS Information Technology team maintains a standard software load on all computer lab workstations. This software load contains a variety of software titles for students to utilize for completing their coursework. Below is a listing of all installed software per operating system: Windows Operating Systems Windows 10 Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher) Accordance Bible Software Adobe Reader DC Skype Skype for Business Mozilla Firefox Google Chrome Microsoft Edge Zotero iTunes VLC Adobe Flash Player Equitrac Print Billing software Symantc Endpoint protection Bomgar Remote Support Client macOS Operating Systems macOS 10.11.6 Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Accordance Bible Software Adobe Reader DC Skype Skype for Business Mozilla Firefox Google Chrome Safari Zotero iTunes Garageband iMovie Pages Keynote Numbers VLC Adobe Flash Player Equitrac Print billing software Symantec Endpoint Protection Bomgar Remote Support Client Due to Current Licensing constraints, there are limited installation of the Adobe Creative Cloud Applications and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Please utlize this software in the following locations. Adobe Creative Cloud applications are currently available on the macOS operating systems of Stuart terminals, 9, 10, 11, and 12 Adobe Acrobat Pro is currently available on the PC operating systems of Stuart terminal 9, 10, 12 and Library terminal 1 located on the Lower Level by the entrance to the Reference Reading room. The Adobe Creative could suite has a full compliment of tools that can be utilized for video editing, graphic creation, PDF editing and creation, print and flyer layout, and photo editing. The following application were install from the Adobe Creative Cloud suite: Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Premier pro, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and After Effects. Adobe Acrobat Pro can be utilized to create, edit and combine PDF documents.

How To: High-speed Document Scanner
There is a Kodak High Speed Document scanner connected to Terminal 9 in the stuart computer lab. This scanner had the ability to create a single PDF document from multiple pages. To Create a PDF at Scanning Station: Sign into the Windows partition of the machine Open Adobe Acrobat Pro from Desktop From Menu Select “Create” From Drop Down, choose “PDF from Scanner” Choose black and white, greyscale or color Load Intended document into scanner (upper tray) Document will automatically be created Be sure to SAVE your document

Remote Accessing PTS Computer Lab Workstation
The PTS IT team has enabled the ability to remotely access the computers in the PTS computer labs traditional used by students. This system allows a student to remotely connect, using a remote desktop connection, to one of the many Windows based computers in the PTS Templeton computer lab and throughout the library. This remote Access system affords students the ability: perform research and searches as if they were in the library or computer labs Provides access to Accordance Bible software Provides access to the Adobe creative suite Provides additional computing resources Access on campus resources like their H drive and printing services While you can access this remote system form Mac or PC, this remote computers are limited to Windows based computers as our Apple Computers do not support this type of remote connection. Accessing the Workstations remotely To access one of the available PTS workstations: In the web browser on your computer, go to https://remoteaccess.labstats.com/princeton-theological-seminary Select a computer from the list, Click Connect A remote desktop file will download to your computer with the connection settings* Once downloaded, open the remote remote desktop file Once open, Enter your pts username (firstname.lastname) and password in the provided fields Once enter you will be connected to the PTS computer and all resources will be available. The list of computers will update automatically to reflect when a computer is in use. *If you are using a Mac or Apple device for this connection, you will need to download the Microsoft Remote Desktop Application. This is a free app available on the Mac app store here. Notices During Connection During the remote connection you may receive several notices or warnings related to trusting the connection. These are normal and expected. Please allow the connection. Below are some examples of the messages you may receive during the connection progress. Both of these alert boxes are part of the sign in and connection process. It is ok to allow these to process.
