Set Up OneDrive App for Windows
Setting up OneDrive on your device is a straightforward process. Here's how: Open Start. Search OneDrive and click the top result to open the app. Confirm the Microsoft account address. Click the Sign in button. Confirm your account password. Click the Sign in button again. This will show you the local (on your PTS computer) file path Click the Next button. (Optional) Clear the Desktop, Documents, and Pictures selections. Quick note: OneDrive can back up your system profile folders. Although it is recommended to use this option, you may not have enough space to upload all your files. If this is the case, please contact the IT Help Desk (help.desk@ptsem.edu or 609 497 7812). You can always access the backup settings from the Sync and Backup tab in the OneDrive settings. Click the Continue button. Click the Skip button. Click the Next button. Click the Next button again. Click the Next button one more time. (Image credit: Future) Click the Later button. Click the Close (X) button. After you complete the steps, OneDrive will be ready to start uploading files.

Setup OneDrive App for macOS
Start OneDrive by pressing cmd+Space to launch a Spotlight query and type OneDrive. This starts OneDrive Setup. Enter your work or school account and then select Sign in to set up your account. Key Parts of OneDrive Setup There are a few points of OneDrive Setup that are helpful to watch for: When setting up your OneDrive, it has a default location set. However, you can change this during setup. On the This is your OneDrive folder screen, click Change Location. Select a location where you would like to save your OneDrive files and click Choose this location. When you see the This is your OneDrive folder screen, you’ll now see a path to the folder you selected. Click Next to continue. On the Sync Files from Your OneDrive screen, you can choose the folders you want to sync to your computer, and click Next. This conserves space on your computer and reduces bandwidth needed for the sync processes. You’re done! Click Open my OneDrive folder to see your files sync to your folder. You can find OneDrive in your Menu bar. You’ll have a cloud icon for every account you’ve connected to OneDrive. So you’ll have one cloud if you’re only syncing a work or school account, one cloud if you’re syncing only a personal account, or two clouds if you’re syncing both. You’ll also see a folder in Finder called OneDrive – Princeton Theological Seminary.

How to Share Files with OneDrive
To share files with OneDrive on Windows 10, use these steps: Open the OneDrive folder. Right-click the file and select the Share option. (Optional) Click the "Anyone with the link can edit" option. (Optional) Select the Can view option if you want someone else only to view the file. Click the Apply button. Specify the email address if you'll be sending the link to another person. Or click the Copy button to copy the link to the clipboard. Click the Send button. Click the Close button. After you complete the steps, the recipient will receive the link to access the shared files. If you copied the link, you could paste the link on an email or social media post to share the content.

Stop Sharing Files in OneDrive
Open the OneDrive folder. Right-click the shared file and select the Share option. Click the three-dotted button in the top-right corner. Select the Manage Access option. Click the Remove link (X) button next to the link. Click the Edit button for the email account you want to remove access. Click the Stop sharing option. Repeat steps 6 and 7 to remove other users (as necessary). Once you complete the steps, the files will no longer be accessible to other people.

Store files on OneDrive
OneDrive is essential for backing up important data, as it keeps the information securely stored on a remote server so that if anything happens to your computer, your files and documents can be retrieved. Once you are signed into OneDrive, locate the folder on your computer. This can be found in a Finder window on a Mac or in a File Explorer window on a Windows PC. It is then as simple as moving files you want to back up into this OneDrive folder. You can move individual files or groups of folders at one time. The OneDrive app icon will show you the status of the files being uploaded to your OneDrive. After I copied all of these Screenshots, I can click on the OneDrive icon to check the upload progress. Since they are all small files, they are uploaded immediately. Whereas if I put a larger file, it shows the progress of that file being uploaded. The process is exactly the same for Windows users as well. You'll see OneDrive listed on the left side of File Explorer: And can see the status by clicking the OneDrive icon in the taskbar

Set Up OneDrive on Your Device For Windows 10/11 Users: - Open OneDrive by clicking the cloud icon in the taskbar notification area or searching for OneDrive in the Start menu. - Sign in with your Microsoft account. If you don’t have one, you can create one during the setup process. For macOS Users: - Open OneDrive from your Applications folder or the Launchpad. - Sign in with your Microsoft account. 2. Upload Files to OneDrive From Your Computer: - **Drag and Drop:** Open File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (macOS). Locate the files or folders you want to upload to OneDrive. Drag and drop them into the OneDrive folder in the left pane. - **Copy and Paste:** Right-click the files or folders you want to save, select “Copy,” then navigate to the OneDrive folder, right-click, and select “Paste.” Using the OneDrive Website: - Go to https://onedrive.com and sign in with your PTS account. - Click the “Upload” button in the toolbar. - Select “Files” or “Folder,” then choose the files or folders you want to upload. 3. Automatically Save Files to OneDrive On Windows: - Open OneDrive settings by right-clicking the OneDrive icon in the taskbar and selecting “Settings.” - Go to the “Backup” tab. - Click “Manage backup” and choose the folders you want to automatically back up to OneDrive (such as Desktop, Documents, and Pictures). On macOS: - Open OneDrive from the menu bar, click “Preferences.” - Go to the “Backup” tab. - Select the folders you want to back up to OneDrive automatically. 4. Sync Files Across Devices OneDrive automatically syncs files across all devices where you’re signed in. To ensure syncing is enabled: - Open OneDrive settings on your computer. - Ensure that syncing is enabled under the “Account” tab. - Check the “Sync all files and folders in OneDrive” option to keep all your files up-to-date across devices. 5. Access and Manage Files in OneDrive From Your Computer: - Open File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (macOS) and click on the OneDrive folder to access your files. From the OneDrive Website: - Go to https://onedrive.com and sign in with your PTS account. - Browse and manage your files directly in your browser. 6.
